Education often predicts our success as individuals. Our performance in school often sets our life path, influencing where we live, where we work, and how we raise our own children. But our society does not always ensure that all children have equal access to a quality education. Children of color lag behind white students in their progress through school; lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered youth walk the hallways in fear.
